Important Information about TPO

Dear customers and professionals,

this page is for informational purposes only regarding the substance TPO. Products containing TPO are no longer available at DENATO. As of September 1, 2025, the use of TPO is banned in the EU under current legislation (Omnibus Act VII; published on June 2, 2025).

How we proceeded

Products containing TPO were discontinued – as soon as we received new versions without TPO in stock, the previous versions containing TPO were immediately withdrawn from sale.

If you have older packages purchased earlier, we recommend checking the composition on the label or in the safety data sheet. If the package contains TPO, do not use it after September 1, 2025.

What this means for you

From September 1, 2025, TPO may not be legally used or purchased in the EU. At DENATO you can no longer buy products containing TPO; our range is continuously updated to meet current regulations.

How to recognise genuine TPO: most common labels

If any of the following names appear in the composition, it refers to the banned substance TPO:

Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide
Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide
Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl) phosphine oxide (with extra spacing)
Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphinoxide
Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphinoxyd (German spelling)
TPO (abbreviation)
Photoinitiator TPO

Other, less common variants:

Not belonging to the TPO group:

Bis-Trimethylbenzoyl Phenylphosphine Oxide

(these are derivatives/alternatives, not genuine TPO variants)
