DUAL FORM Square Classic

DUAL FORM Square Classic are reusable forms designed for creating a classic square nail shape with a straight free edge without tapering. They allow the nail structure to be created directly inside the form and the Dualform to be easily removed after curing. The resulting surface is smooth and glossy and, when applied correctly, requires only minimal finishing with a file.

Classic square shape

The Square Classic variant is designed to create a classic straight nail structure with parallel side lines and a straight free edge without tapering. Thanks to the different sizes, a form corresponding to the width and shape of the nail bed can be selected for each nail.

Choosing the correct size

For each nail, select a Dualform that corresponds to the width of the nail bed and fits correctly along its side lines. The form should not be too small. An incorrectly selected size may push the modelling material outside the required area when pressed onto the nail and negatively affect the resulting structure.

Preparing the natural nail

Prepare the natural nail in the standard way according to the modelling system you will be working with. Remove any remaining material from the previous nail modelling and use preparation and base products suitable for the selected material.

Material application options

The inside surface of the Dualform does not need to be roughened before applying the material. There are two basic ways to work with the forms:

1. Apply the modelling material to the prepared nail and gently press the Dualform onto it. This method can be used, for example, when working with acrygel or polyacryl gel.
2. Apply the modelling material directly into the Dualform, shape the required structure and then place the form onto the prepared nail. Selected Nail Art decorations can also be prepared directly inside the form.

After positioning the form, check the amount and placement of the material. Any modelling material pressed outside the Dualform should be removed before curing, for example with an orange wood stick or a suitable spatula.

Fixing and curing

Keep the Dualform in the correct position while working. A clip designed for use with Dualforms or a spot LED light for pre-curing can be used to hold it in place. Before placing the nail into the lamp, also check the underside and adjust any excess material if necessary.

Cure the material in a UV/LED lamp for the time recommended by the manufacturer of the specific product used. With camouflage and less transparent shades, depending on the material used, ensure thorough curing from the underside as well.

Removing the Dualform and finishing

After the material has fully cured, release the form with a gentle rocking motion and remove it from the modelled nail. If necessary, refine the free edge, side lines and length with a file and make any required adjustments to the underside of the nail.

If you are continuing with colour gel or Nail Art decoration, lightly roughen the surface with a buffer file as needed and apply a suitable top coat after completing the design.

Tip for a clean underside of the nail

For better control of the underside of the nail structure, the Dualform can be combined with a classic paper form placed underneath the free edge. When used correctly, this combination can help create a smoother underside and reduce the need for subsequent filing underneath the nail.
