Product detailed description

COFFIN Long Nail Tips – elegant nail extension and strengthening without glue

Would you like to create elegant, extended nails with a consistent shape without having to build the entire length using a nail form? COFFIN Long Nail Tips offer a practical solution for professional nail enhancements, where a transparent tip is attached directly to the natural nail using a modelling gel.

The tips feature a natural C-curve and gently taper towards the free edge. This creates the characteristic COFFIN shape with an elegant silhouette and a straight, squared-off tip. Thanks to their flexible material, they adapt to the curvature of the natural nail and, when applied correctly, help create a stable foundation for further nail enhancement.

Unlike traditional glue-on nail tips, they do not have a defined adhesive well. They are not attached using nail glue or adhesive tabs. A suitable Rubber Gel or Sculpting Gel is used for attachment. After curing, the tip remains on the nail as part of the enhancement and is not intended for reuse.

COFFIN Long tips are suitable for quick nail extensions, strengthening natural nails and occasional nail styling. The final appearance can be customised using coloured UV/LED gels, gel polishes and various Nail Art techniques.

Main features and benefits

  • COFFIN Long shape – an elongated silhouette with tapered sidewalls and a straight, squared-off free edge.
  • Natural C-curve – supports a consistent appearance of enhanced nails.
  • Flexible material – the tips adapt to the shape of the natural nail and resist cracking during normal handling.
  • Transparent design – allows further styling with coloured gels, gel polishes and Nail Art decorations.
  • No defined adhesive well – the tip is attached using a suitable modelling gel.
  • Glue-free application – traditional nail tip glue or adhesive tabs are not required.
  • Quick extension and strengthening – a practical alternative to building the entire nail length using a nail form.
  • Suitable for infills – the enhancement can be adjusted and refilled as the natural nail grows.
  • Single-use tips – once applied, the tip remains on the nail and is not designed to be removed and reused.
  • 10 sizes – allow selection of the appropriate width for individual natural nails.
  • Practical packaging – 500 tips in an organised storage box.

How do COFFIN Long Nail Tips work?

The application method is similar to the Press On system, but there is one essential difference. While some Press On tips are attached using adhesive tabs and can be reused, COFFIN Long tips are secured with modelling gel and remain on the nail.

After curing, they form a foundation for further styling. The tip surface can be prepared for the application of colour gel, gel polish or Nail Art according to the desired result.

As the natural nail grows, the enhancement can be refilled using a suitable gel. The tip therefore does not need to be removed at every subsequent salon appointment. Infills can continue until the tip has completely grown out, provided the condition of the enhancement allows it.

Recommended materials for application

Depending on the chosen application system, Rubber Gel or Sculpting Gel (Soak Off Gel) can be used to attach COFFIN Long tips. The material is applied in a thin layer to the prepared natural nail and the inner contact surface of the tip, following the relevant application procedure.

When performing a subsequent infill or adjusting the nail structure, a builder gel can be used if required. For enhancements with a Sculpting Gel base, Power Gel is recommended as one option. For shorter nails, Rubber Gels may also be suitable, depending on the condition of the nails and the required structure.

Recommended application procedure

  1. Natural nail preparation: Perform a manicure, prepare the nail plate and thoroughly degrease it according to the procedure of the selected nail enhancement system.
  2. Size selection: Choose a tip that matches the width of the natural nail and fits correctly along the lateral nail folds.
  3. Preparation of the inner surface: Gently roughen the contact area on the inside of the tip using a suitable fine nail drill bit or foam nail file.
  4. Base application: Apply a thin layer of the recommended Rubber Gel or Sculpting Gel to the prepared nail and the contact surface of the tip, following the selected application procedure.
  5. Positioning the tip: Gradually place the tip onto the nail, starting near the cuticle and moving towards the free edge. The material must spread evenly without trapping air bubbles.
  6. Checking the material: Check the correct position of the tip and the amount of gel. The material must not flow onto the surrounding skin. Remove any excess before curing.
  7. Curing: Hold the tip in the correct position and cure the material in a suitable UV/LED lamp according to the gel manufacturer's instructions. Ensure that sufficient light reaches the entire material layer.
  8. Refining the transitions: After curing, gently file away any uneven areas around the transition between the tip and the natural nail.
  9. Surface preparation: Roughen the tip surface as needed before applying additional modelling or colour products.
  10. Levelling the cuticle area: If a gap or uneven transition has formed between the tip and the natural nail, carefully refine the transition and, if necessary, apply Rubber Gel or Sculpting Gel over the entire nail surface.
  11. Building the structure: When using Sculpting Gel, a thin layer of suitable builder gel, such as Power Gel, can be added if required. With Rubber Gel enhancements, an additional builder gel layer is not always necessary.
  12. Finishing the base: After curing, remove the inhibition layer if necessary, refine the surface and correct any minor imperfections.
  13. Colour application: Apply the selected coloured UV/LED gel or gel polish and cure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  14. Final shine: Finish the enhancement with a suitable top gel.

Important: No air bubbles should remain between the natural nail and the tip during application. The gel must not come into contact with the skin. Curing time depends on the material used, the lamp and the manufacturer's recommendations.

COFFIN Long tip sizes and dimensions

The package contains 10 sizes numbered 0–9. The individual sizes vary in length and width, allowing the selection of a suitable tip for different nail plates.

Size Length Width
0 3.5 cm 1.4 cm
1 3.4 cm 1.2 cm
2 3.3 cm 1.15 cm
3 3.2 cm 1.15 cm
4 3.1 cm 1.1 cm
5 3.0 cm 1.0 cm
6 2.9 cm 0.95 cm
7 2.8 cm 0.9 cm
8 2.7 cm 0.8 cm
9 2.6 cm 0.75 cm

Recommendation: When selecting a size, consider not only the width but also the curvature of the natural nail. The tip must fit correctly without excessive pressure or gaps.

Removal and infilling of the nail enhancement

COFFIN Long tips are not designed to be repeatedly removed and reapplied. Depending on the condition of the enhancement and the material used, the nail technician can choose between removal and regular infills.

1. Removal using a remover

Removal using a remover is only possible if the materials used, including the tip itself, are suitable for this removal method. Always follow the instructions provided by the manufacturers of the individual products.

  1. Breaking the surface: Gently roughen and break through the top layer of the enhancement so that the remover can act on the removable material.
  2. Applying the remover: Place cotton wool soaked in a suitable remover onto the nail and wrap it in aluminium foil, or use an appropriate removal accessory.
  3. Processing time: Leave the remover to work according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The approximate time may be around 10 minutes, but this depends on the specific material.
  4. Gentle removal: Carefully remove the softened material using a pusher and a fine nail file. If the material does not loosen, do not force it off.
  5. Preparation before a new application: If you intend to apply a new enhancement, prepare the nail according to the relevant procedure, for example using Pre Nail Prep Scrub.
  6. Final care: If no new enhancement will be applied, treat the nail and surrounding skin with a suitable nourishing oil.

Professional tip: Before a new application, suitable care using the IBX system may be included according to the needs of the natural nail. Its use must follow the recommended procedure and be compatible with the subsequent modelling materials.

2. Infilling the grown-out enhancement

During regular infills, the original tip can remain part of the enhancement. The interval between infills depends on the growth rate of the natural nails, their condition and the stress placed on the enhancement.

  1. Checking nail growth: Assess the condition of the enhancement, material adhesion and any lifting. After approximately 3–4 weeks, the grown-out area may measure several millimetres.
  2. Refining the transition: Roughen the surface and gently file the transition between the grown-out area and the original enhancement.
  3. Manicure and preparation: Perform a manicure, prepare the grown-out area of the natural nail, degrease it and adjust the length if necessary.
  4. New base layer: Apply a suitable Sculpting Gel or Rubber Gel according to the same system used for the original enhancement.
  5. Rebuilding the structure: Restore the correct nail shape and structure. For a Sculpting Gel base, Power Gel can be used, for example. For shorter nails, Rubber Gel modelling may be suitable depending on the chosen system.
  6. Finishing: After curing, remove the inhibition layer if necessary, refine the nail surface and shape, and continue with coloured gel or gel polish and a top gel.

3. Gradual growth of the tip

If the enhancement remains stable and shows no lifting, regular infills can continue until the original tip has completely grown out. At every appointment, the condition of the natural nail and the adhesion of the material must be checked.

Professional DENATO recommendations

Choosing the correct tip size and carefully preparing the contact surface are essential for successful application. The tip should naturally follow the shape of the nail and should not be forcibly compressed during placement.

During application, use an amount of gel that allows an even bond between the tip and the natural nail without air bubbles or material overflowing onto the surrounding skin.

When performing infills, always check that the original enhancement is still firmly attached. Any lifted or damaged areas of material must be professionally removed and the nail properly prepared again.

Material & safety

Design: transparent, flexible nail tips intended for nail enhancements using suitable UV/LED gels. The tips are designed for single use and remain part of the enhancement after application.

Intended for professional use. During application, curing and removal, follow the salon's hygiene and safety procedures and the instructions provided by the manufacturers of the materials used.

  • Do not use on damaged, irritated or otherwise unhealthy nails or surrounding skin.
  • Before application, check that the tip is not cracked, deformed or otherwise damaged.
  • Choose a size that matches the width and curvature of the natural nail.
  • Do not attach the tip using nail glue or adhesive tabs when following the described gel application system.
  • When working with uncured gels, prevent contact with the skin.
  • Follow the recommended curing time and method for the modelling material used.
  • Ensure that the gel beneath the tip is sufficiently cured. Uncured material must not remain trapped between the tip and the natural nail.
  • The tips are not intended to be removed and reused.
  • Do not forcefully remove the enhancement or pull the tip away from the natural nail.
  • Use only compatible products and procedures when removing the specific nail enhancement system.
  • Follow hygiene procedures and use clean working tools.
