RELEAF – professional pedicure as a system, not just a treatment

RELEAF – a luxurious pedicure not only for the salon, but also for home

Foot care doesn’t have to be just functional. It can also be deeply regenerative, sensory, and truly professional.

The American brand Famous Names, which we have exclusively represented since 2010, has created a pedicure system that combines hydration with a spa-like experience.

The products are available both in professional salon sizes and as a home kit – allowing professional care to continue between appointments.

Why RELEAF is not just a pedicure, but a well-designed system

The RELEAF pedicure is not just a collection of products. It is a thought-out system, where each step prepares the foundation for the next:

  • softening
  • exfoliation
  • hydration
  • protection
  • regeneration

Luxury here is not just about fragrance. It is about respect for the skin and the physiology of the foot.

RELEAF professional pedicure procedure

Bath preparation – the foundation of success

SOAK-A-LYPTUS

A concentrated softening solution based on oils (water-free).

Add 1–2 pumps into the bath. For maximum effect, we recommend combining with 1 teaspoon of AU DRENCH.

Effect:

  • prepares the skin before treatment
  • antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action
  • softens and refreshes the skin
  • suitable for diabetics

The eucalyptus scent creates an instant spa experience.

AU DRENCH

A powdered bath additive containing the AU complex (Allantoin + Urea).

Why it matters:

  • intense hydration
  • supports regeneration
  • soothes and softens the skin
  • improves comfort during the following treatment

Bath duration:

  • typically 4–6 minutes
  • for diabetics 3–4 minutes

For very dry feet, the dosage can be increased.

CUTI-CAL – softening cuticles and hardened skin

An all-in-one product for softening cuticles and calluses.

Apply, leave on for 2 minutes (do not shorten the time), then rinse.

Effect:

  • fast softening of hardened skin
  • facilitates removal of hyperkeratosis
  • protection thanks to the AU complex

Mechanical treatment

After softening, gently remove the rough skin (foot file). The goal is not aggressive removal, but controlled reduction of excess layers.

In professional practice, it is essential to work gently and with respect for the skin’s protective function. Both in the salon and at home, it makes sense to use high-quality tools, such as files and tools for precise and gentle surface work.

DADI’ SCRUB GOLD – next-generation exfoliation

A scrub combining salt, sugar, pumice, and natural oils.

Contains the AU complex to hydrate during exfoliation.

Massage until the crystals dissolve, then rinse. For a more intensive effect, wrap the feet in a warm, damp towel.

Result:

  • smooth, hydrated skin
  • without a greasy film

Nail and surrounding care

DADI’OIL

A blend of 95% natural ingredients.

  • supports nail flexibility
  • increases hydration
  • penetrates deeply into the nail plate

In combination with the IBX system, it creates an ideal regenerative care routine. It is available in multiple sizes, including smaller retail options for clients.

This part of the care naturally connects to the category natural nail care, because healthy-looking feet are not only about the skin, but also about nail quality and the surrounding area.

FINISH – refreshing final step

A cooling and hydrating spray as the final step.

  • refreshes
  • soothes
  • enhances post-treatment comfort

Great also for home use – for example after physical activity or sun exposure.

The AU complex under the microscope

Why the combination of Allantoin + Urea works differently than each ingredient alone

The AU complex is based on a simple principle: combining intensive hydration with support for regeneration.

This is not about aggressive intervention. It is about creating an environment in which the skin can naturally renew itself.

UREA – intelligent hydration

Urea is a natural component of our skin. It belongs to the so-called natural moisturizing factors (NMF).

What it does:

  • binds water and retains it in the upper skin layer
  • softens hardened skin
  • acts keratolytically at higher concentrations
  • improves penetration of other active ingredients

In pedicure, this property is essential. Without sufficient hydration, any filing is only a temporary solution.

ALLANTOIN – calm and regeneration

Allantoin is known for its soothing properties.

  • supports cell renewal
  • smooths the skin
  • reduces irritation
  • accelerates healing of small cracks

Where urea softens, allantoin calms.

Why their combination makes sense

Urea hydrates and softens. Allantoin regenerates and soothes.

Together:

  • soften without irritation
  • hydrate without greasy residue
  • support long-term skin balance

That is why the AU complex is so suitable for pedicure:

  • for hyperkeratosis
  • for dry and cracked heels
  • after mechanical treatment
  • for more sensitive skin

In professional pedicure, the goal is not to remove as much skin as possible. The goal is to restore its function.

The right combination of hydrating and regenerating ingredients can do more than aggressive mechanical removal with a drill.

Why overly aggressive skin removal does not solve the problem

The skin on the feet has a protective function. If we repeatedly thin it too aggressively, the body reacts defensively – it produces an even thicker layer.

  • strong hyperkeratosis
  • aggressive removal
  • defensive reaction
  • even stronger thickening

The client feels that without regular “filing down,” they cannot function.

This is exactly where a different approach makes sense.

Urea helps to soften and regulate keratinization in a controlled way. Allantoin supports regeneration and soothes.

Instead of shock, we give the skin a signal of safety. And that is the key difference between a quick effect and a long-term result.

In professional pedicure, the goal is not to remove as much skin as possible. The goal is to restore its function.

Home care as part of long-term results

RELEAF products are available both in professional sizes and as a home kit – so that professional care can continue between appointments.

This is especially important for clients with dry skin, a tendency to hyperkeratosis, or a need for regular regenerative care.

Practical context for salon practice

RELEAF makes sense wherever the technician does not want to rely solely on mechanical treatment, but on a well-prepared skin, controlled work, and follow-up care.

Just like with professional systems for hands and nails – whether it is builder gels, UV/LED gels, gel polishes, nail drills, UV/LED lamps or brushes – here too, the system matters more than any single isolated step.

FAQ – practical questions from real practice

Is RELEAF suitable only for salons or also for home use?

RELEAF is designed for professional salon use, but it is also available as a home kit, allowing care to continue between visits.

How long should the bath last?

Typically 4–6 minutes, for diabetics 3–4 minutes. For very dry feet, the dosage can be increased.

Why is aggressive removal not the goal?

Because the goal is not aggressive removal, but controlled reduction of excess layers. Too aggressive treatment can lead to even stronger keratinization.

Why is the AU complex important?

The AU complex combines Allantoin and Urea, linking hydration with regeneration without unnecessary aggressive intervention.

Does DADI’OIL really have a place in pedicure?

Yes. It supports nail flexibility, increases hydration, and penetrates deeply into the nail plate. In combination with the IBX system, it forms an ideal regenerative care routine.

Author’s note

The longer I work in this field and with Famous Names products, the more I realize that less is often more – if we understand why.

And maybe that’s why this pedicure feels like a small luxury ritual to me. Honestly, I prefer doing it myself. Pedicurists don’t like me, and I don’t like them. I’m not exactly the type of client who enjoys someone touching her feet – so you can imagine the goosebumps and twitching foot.

All the more I appreciate a system that allows me to achieve professional results at home. Because true luxury is not just about service – it’s about comfort, trust, and a sense of safety.

And if I may recommend a high-quality file for both dry and wet smoothing – you can find it here.
